Utilities

Below I have listed links to some of my favorite utilities and programs to help you test, analyze and check the status of different functions on your computer.  Enjoy!

System Monitors

ABITEQ
A system monitoring program designed specifically for ABIT motherboards.  Make sure Winbond Hardware Monitor is NOT installed on your computer before installing ABITEQ.

8RDAVCORE
Originally developed for the EPOX 8RDA motherboard, this utility has expanded to cover many different motherboards.  It offers complete system monitoring capabilities as well as desktop overclocking.

Motherboard Monitor
A very popular system monitoring utility.  Very popular among the overclocking community as being the most accurate monitoring utility available.

CPU Identifiers

WCPUID
Very nice utility for checking information about your CPU.  Shows the operating clock speed and front side bus the processor is currently running at.  Other useful information is displayed as well.

CPUZ
This utility shows detailed information about your CPU, Cache, Motherboard and Memory.  Very useful tool for any system.

CPU/Memory Testing

Memtest86
A very good utility for testing the stability of your memory modules.  The utility will tell you if your memory passes or fails any given test that it performs.  A must have for checking system stability and trouble shooting.

Microsoft Windows Memory Diagnostic
Works much like Memtest86 and works quite well.  Easy to use and will clearly show you when your memory fails or passes.

Prime95
The ultimate stability test for your computer system.  Long known as the premier utility for stressing your computer to it limits.  The term "Prime95 Stable" has been coined from using this utility.

CPU Toast
The name says it all, it really puts a stress on your CPU and will definitely let you know if there is a CPU problem on your computer.  Make sure you have adequate CPU cooling before running this utility.

CPU Burn-In
Tests CPU stability much like Toast, but was developed with the overclocker in mind.  Again, be sure and have good CPU cooling before running this utility.

Benchmarking

SiSoftware Sandra
A multi-function benchmark, system information, and stress testing suite of applications.  You can test just about any component on your system, find detailed system information, and run several different benchmarks all from a very well organized interface.

Futuremark 3DMark03
Mostly a gamers benchmark utility.  This program runs a series of clips from high graphic games and really stresses your video card and other system components.  When the program is finished it gives your system a score that you can compare online and compare to other systems running the same components as yours.

ATTO
A good utility to test your hard drive read/write speeds.  A favorite amongst the RAID users.

Miscellaneous Utilities

NVSwap
NVSwap is an NVIDIA utility designed to help you set up and optimize your NVIDIA nForce audio experience. NVSwap tests and configures the setup of a 4 or 5.1 speaker system attached to a qualified NVIDIA audio product.

Driver Cleaner
An excellent utility for cleaning driver files and folders left behind after uninstalling through Add/Remove Programs.  This utility should be used when ever you update drivers, or want to completely remove them from your system.

RegCleaner
Probably the best registry cleaner out there.  Does a great job of keeping your registry clean of dead entries.  I usually run this program a few times a week and always after uninstalling programs and drivers.

LavaSoft Ad-Aware
This utility will find any spyware files on your computer and remove them.  A great way to protect your privacy while surfing the internet.

Spybot Search & Destroy
Another very good spyware removal tool.  Removes spyware files on your computer and removes them as well.
